Recent college graduates are entering an unpredictable job market, often under-equipped with the training and soft skills to succeed in the workplace. This, coupled with a growing trend of industry leaders gradually aging out of the workforce, has pushed some affordable housing organizations to adopt systems for investing in new talent, providing young housers with the technical skills needed to succeed in low-income housing development.

Such workforce development is particularly useful for an affordable housing industry that has historically contained barriers of entry that make it challenging for entry-level workers to break into the industry.

Tax Credit Advisor recently spoke with various industry leaders to explore a number of distinct approaches to workforce training and development that have proven effective.
