Continuing its longstanding commitment to supporting future affordable housing leaders' educational and career goals, the David Reznick Foundation proudly announces its 2025 grant recipient for the Tufts University/Racial Equity in Policy and Planning (REPP) program.

REPP fellows receive stipends, generous tuition scholarships, support to secure paid internships and programming to build leadership skills, develop networks and provide socio-emotional support.

KC Coryatt (pictured below) received $15,000 from the David Reznick Foundation.

KC (He/They) graduated from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry with a BS in Environmental Studies with a focus in policy, planning and law.

KC hopes to advance climate resilience within vulnerable communities, helping to ensure that those impacted by generations of disinvestment have their voices amplified and prioritized within decision making processes. He also wants to learn ways to foster community revitalization and incorporate green infrastructure while avoiding displacement.

KC shared, “Through my first year at UEP I have found myself focusing on social adaptive capacity and the importance of not only creating policy and infrastructure changes that build resilience to climate change but working to ensure that communities have localized power and resources to navigate climate impacts.”

KC continued, “The REPP fellowship supports my exploration of these topics and allows me to learn about my passions amongst those who share similar or overlapping goals. Support from the David Reznick Foundation allows me to dedicate myself to my education, an opportunity that I am incredibly grateful for as a graduate student.”

In doing research, KC intends to focus on making their findings accessible and understandable for the general public as opposed to solely others in academia. Through the REPP fellowship he hopes to share resources with his peers in order to advance their shared justice goals.

“The passion for the racial and housing equity and justice that we see in future affordable housing leaders like KC continuously inspires and recharges our own,” said Foundation Board Member Russell Phillips. “We cannot wait to see the change he creates in the world.”
