The David Reznick Foundation Receives Thank You Letter from Scholarship Recipient

The David Reznick Foundation, which is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of affordable housing leaders, is pleased to share this thank you letter from David Ragland, who received a DRF scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year.
David is pursuing an MS in Real Estate Development at the University of Maryland's Colvin Institute of Real Estate Development. He received a BS in Business Administration and Management from Towson University in 2023, and is the founder of DLR Capital, a non-QM brokerage.

To the David Reznick Foundation,
I am incredibly grateful to have received your generous scholarship offer to continue my
studies at the University of Maryland in their Colvin Institute of Real Estate. I have been a
master’s student at this school since the fall of 2024 and have thoroughly enjoyed my time
learning and meeting like-minded professionals. Without this offer, it would be extremely
difficult for me, financially speaking, to continue throughout my academic career. It is very
encouraging to know that a company as big as CohnReznick/the David Reznick Foundation is
directly involved in supporting people like me to create the next generation of real estate
professionals.
This scholarship is particularly important to me as I am taking 1 more class than I
normally take per semester, that being the NAIOP Capital Challenge Competition in the DC
chapter. I am also working full-time as a financial analyst, so this generosity has truly provided
me with a sense of relief from financial pressures. This will be my last year in UMD’s Master of
Real Estate Development program with my capstone project in the Fall of 2026, so I am looking forward to putting my best foot forward in the near future. With that being said, none of this would have been feasible (or even possible) without the generosity of CohnReznick.
Thank you again for your kindness and belief in not only my potential, but also my peers.
Receiving this scholarship has put into perspective what it means to have a support system that cares about the next generation of educated professionals. With that being said, I will keep this act of generosity in mind as I plan to help those who may find themselves in the same position as myself one day.
